Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert pre- and post-anesthesia care to patients in our 16-bed PACU, ensuring safe recoveries
• Monitor vital signs, airway patency, and level of consciousness, stepping in quickly when patients need you
• Collaborate closely with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and nurses to deliver seamless continuity of care
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and titrate drips according to patient responses and protocols
• Document accurately in Meditech and communicate clearly with the care team
• Mentor and support newer team members, fostering a culture of clinical excellence and teamwork

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee or a compact state
• At least 1 year of ICU or PACU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• CCRN and CAPA certifications preferred
• Experience with bedside monitors, arterial lines, and ventilators preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of post-anesthesia care and critical care principles
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic health records
• Strong patient assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with 1:2 patient ratios
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
