Shift Type: Consistent non-consecutive day shifts (same days each week): 6:15 AM - 5:15 PM (10-hour day). Call requirement: 2-3 twelve-hour call shifts per 6-week period on weekends/holidays (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Up to one stay-late shift per week — on-call 5:15 PM - 7:15 PM for 10-hour days or 7:15 PM - 9:15 PM for 12-hour shifts. 30-minute trauma response time.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Maintain sterile technique and assist surgical teams during procedures with diligence and attention to detail
• Respond to trauma activations within the required 30-minute response time and coordinate rapid patient care
• Participate in Trinity specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence
• Fulfill on-call duties including scheduled 12-hour call shifts and stay-late coverage when needed
• Complete accurate documentation and handoffs to support continuity of care and team communication
• Advocate for patients and families while collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with verification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
• Perioperative competency demonstrated through Trinity specialty-specific testing and skills checklist
• Ability to work 10-hour day shifts and cover 12-hour on-call shifts on weekends/holidays
• Comfort and experience working in a Level II trauma center environment; 30-minute call response expected
• Willingness to complete required health clearances (fit test, drug screen, immunizations, PPD/IGRA, physical)

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
