Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Ortho/Spine)

Location: Davenport, Iowa

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 11-10-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable start times between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM, on-call one night per week and one weekend every 7 weeks

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert perioperative care for patients undergoing orthopedic and spine surgeries
Assist surgeons during procedures, ensuring a sterile and safe environment
Monitor patient vitals and manage recovery in the PACU
Collaborate with surgical team to optimize patient outcomes
Prepare and maintain operating rooms with necessary instruments and supplies

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Iowa or compact state
BLS and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of OR experience with ortho and spine surgeries
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of surgical instruments and aseptic technique
Skilled in patient positioning for orthopedic and spine procedures
Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and adapt quickly
Proficiency in electronic medical records
