Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required, must work 2 major holidays

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to neuro patients, including post-surgical, post-crani, spine, and post-TPA CVA cases
• Monitor central telemetry and interpret EKGs to ensure patient safety
• Maintain strict sterile field and adhere to aseptic techniques during procedures
• Collaborate with a supportive team including charge nurses, clinical supervisors, and PCTs
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner electronic health records
• Participate in orientation and pass competency exams to ensure excellence

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent nursing experience in neuro or telemetry within the past 6 months
• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer
• Proficiency in sterile technique and EKG interpretation

Education

• BSN not required

• Expertise in neuro patient care and telemetry monitoring
• Skilled in EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
• Proficient with Cerner charting system
• Knowledge of proper sterile technique and infection control
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
