Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to medical cardiac patients, including those with CHF and other cardiac conditions
• Monitor continuous telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms to detect changes in patient status
• Titrate IV drips such as Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin, and Cardizem as ordered
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, patient care techs, and respiratory therapists
• Administer medications, assess patients, and document care in EPIC
• Educate patients and families on cardiac health, medications, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee or a compact state (license to submit required)
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
• At least 2 years of experience in Medical Cardiac/Telemetry nursing
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Ability to read telemetry strips and titrate IV drips

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Titrating IV infusions (Amio, Hep, Insulin, Cardizem)
• Comfort with high-flow nasal cannula and BiPAP
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced 32-bed unit
