Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms on telemetry, responding promptly to changes
• Administer medications and titrate IV drips such as Heparin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem with precision
• Provide compassionate care to patients with medical cardiac conditions, including CHF
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in EPIC
• Educate patients and families on cardiac health and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Active RN license (TN or compact state)
• 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in medical cardiac or telemetry
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications
• Experience with cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythm interpretation and ECG
• Proficiency in titrating cardiac drips (Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Insulin)
• Skilled in using EPIC EMR and GE telemetry monitors
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Knowledge of high-flow oxygen and BiPAP troubleshooting
