Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to a diverse Med/Surg patient population
• Float between Med/Onc and multiple surgical and medical units based on staffing needs
• Manage a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, delivering total patient care including assessments, medications, and treatments
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate optimal patient outcomes
• Monitor patients and respond to changes, including occasional telemetry strip reading
• Document accurately in the EHR, with a transition to EPIC in late 2026

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arkansas or compact state (license to submit required)
• 2+ years of current medical/surgical nursing experience
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medical/surgical assessment and clinical skills
• Comfortable caring for surgical, oncology, and medical patients
• Ability to adapt quickly to different units and patient needs
• Basic EKG/strip reading capability
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexible and resilient in a fast-paced environment
