Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to patients on a Med-Surg Colorectal unit, including those recovering from colorectal surgeries and managing conditions like cancer, ileus, and infections
• Monitor telemetry and interpret EKG strips independently, as virtual monitoring is used
• Titrate IV drips such as amiodarone, heparin, insulin, and Cardizem safely and accurately
• Troubleshoot respiratory equipment like High Flow and BiPAP devices
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including LPNs, PCTs, and charge nurses to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other units as needed to support hospital operations

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
• Strong telemetry and IV drip titration skills
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred
