Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU)
• Monitor patient conditions and respond swiftly to emergent changes
• Administer medications, treatments, and advanced life support as ordered
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans
• Educate and support patients and families, fostering trust and understanding

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or compact state
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong critical care background; ICU or MSICU experience preferred
• Open heart experience is a plus, but strong critical care nurses are welcome to apply
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

• Expert assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with ICU equipment such as ventilators, monitors, and infusion pumps
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate patient-centered care and family support
• Knowledge of evidence-based critical care practices
