Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to post-procedural patients staying 1-3 nights following surgery
• Monitor and assess patients recovering from procedures, intervening promptly when conditions change
• Manage care for cath lab patients and support ER overflow when the unit is called upon
• Collaborate with the surgical team and interdisciplinary colleagues to ensure smooth, safe patient transitions
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards while delivering compassionate care

Qualifications

• Active RN license (or compact license) with license/certificate verification required
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Prior med/surg or acute care experience preferred; post-procedural care experience is a plus
• Ability to work day shifts, including up to 3 Saturdays per 6-week schedule, with Sundays off

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong med/surg and post-procedural nursing skills
• Experience with cath lab patient care and ER overflow management
• Proficiency in BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS protocols
• Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Adaptability in a fast-paced surgical unit environment
