Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients on your unit
Assess patient condition, monitor progress, and document changes in a clear and timely manner
Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Advocate for patient needs while maintaining a calm, organized approach in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Hawaii RN licensure or eligibility to obtain a Hawaii license
Experience caring for medical-surgical patients (Med/Surg) — demonstrated clinical competence
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as required by facility
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
Commitment to patient-centered care and professional standards

Knowledge & Skills

Medical-surgical nursing practices and patient assessment
Medication administration and IV therapy familiarity
Patient documentation and charting accuracy
Clinical prioritization and time management on 12+ hour shifts
Ability to collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff
