Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology treatments with precision and compassion
• Monitor patients closely for adverse reactions and manage symptoms effectively
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families during treatment
• Manage central lines, IV infusions, and maintain strict infection control protocols
• Document patient progress accurately and advocate for optimal care outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or compact state (NLC)
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• Oncology nursing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and every other weekend/holiday
• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of chemotherapy drugs, side effects, and safe handling procedures
• Skilled in IV therapy, central line management, and infusion pumps
• Strong patient assessment and vital sign monitoring abilities
• Compassionate communication with patients and families facing cancer
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity oncology unit
