Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care for a 36-bed medical-surgical and telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry, intervening promptly to ensure patient safety
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments while maintaining accuracy
• Perform procedures including wound care, drain management, foley insertion, and central line dressing changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated patient-centered care
• Document assessments and care in Meditech Expanse and engage in bedside shift reports

Qualifications

• A current and active RN license at the time of submission
• Minimum of two years of hospital-based med-surg experience
• Current BLS certification
• IV certification required
• Comfort with telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in telemetry monitoring and EKG recognition
• Skilled in CBI, wound care, chest tube and JP drain management
• Proficient in foley insertion and central line dressing changes
• Comfortable with Meditech Expanse documentation
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills
• A passion for patient education and personal connections
