Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling with trades allowed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $73 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert care across labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery settings
Independently manage all phases of patient care while serving as backup for fellow nurses
Titrate Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate drips to support safe deliveries
Monitor fetal strips and maternal cardiac rhythms using centralized systems
Float as a helping hand to other units when the floor is quiet or busy
Stabilize newborns on bubble CPAP or vent support before transfer when needed

Qualifications

Active Oregon RN license or eligibility for the 90-day emergency license
BLS and NRP certifications required
Strong, independent skills in L&D, postpartum, routine nursery, and intermediate nursery
Comfortable jumping between assignments and thriving in a variable-volume unit

Knowledge & Skills

AWHONN-aligned patient ratios
Central fetal monitoring and maternal telemetry interpretation
Titration of induction/augmentation and critical drips
Team-first mindset with the ability to be the reliable backup nurse every shift
