Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpret fetal heart patterns, and respond quickly to changes
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments while maintaining the highest safety standards
• Assist with vaginal, high-risk, and cesarean deliveries in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Educate families on labor, newborn care, and postpartum recovery to empower them during this special time
• Document accurately and communicate seamlessly with the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Active RN license with license/certificate verification
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications required
• Labor and delivery experience strongly preferred
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist
• Willingness to complete onboarding health requirements and drug screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of labor and delivery nursing, fetal monitoring, and neonatal resuscitation
• Critical thinking and quick decision-making in emergency situations
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
• Comfort with electronic health records and hospital-specific protocols
• Team-oriented mindset with a calm, reassuring presence
