Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and maternal vital signs to ensure the safety of both patients
• Assist obstetricians and midwives during deliveries, including C-sections and emergency procedures
• Educate families about newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
• Advocate for patients' needs and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Respond quickly to high-risk situations and emergency interventions in the delivery room

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Idaho (compact licenses accepted)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required
• Experience in Labor and Delivery preferred
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and health screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of maternal and fetal monitoring techniques
• Expertise in obstetric emergencies and interventions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
• Team-oriented mindset with a dedication to patient-centered care
