Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to mothers and babies during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and maternal vital signs, intervening promptly as needed
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and emergency procedures
• Educate and empower new parents on newborn care, feeding, and recovery
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, positive birth experiences
• Document care accurately and maintain a calm, reassuring presence during high-stress moments

Qualifications

• Active Idaho RN license (or compact license with ability to obtain Idaho license)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required
• Experience in Labor and Delivery strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in fetal heart monitoring and interpretation
• Strong understanding of labor and delivery procedures and interventions
• Skilled in maternal and newborn assessment
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in emergency situations
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
