Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional care to labor and delivery patients, including high-risk maternal cases
• Circulate in the operating room for vaginal and cesarean deliveries, tubal ligations, cerclage placements/removals, D&C, and PASD cases
• Triage patients efficiently and prioritize care in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of charge nurses, surgical techs, unit clerks, and support staff to ensure safe deliveries
• Adapt quickly to changing census and patient needs while maintaining a team-oriented approach
• Document accurately in EMR systems (CPN and Meditech) and follow standardized order sets

Qualifications

• Active RN license (compact license accepted)
• Minimum of 1 year of labor and delivery experience
• Experience with high-risk maternal patients is required
• Circulating in the operating room is required
• Triage experience is required
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and rotate weekends
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and ability to multitask

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of high-risk maternal care
• Proficient in circulating for obstetric surgical procedures
• Strong triage and assessment skills
• Comfortable using EMR systems like CPN and Meditech
• Ability to work at a fast pace and shift directions quickly
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
