Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: PRN schedule, 12.5-hour shifts, no guaranteed hours, shifts vary based on facility needs

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
Monitor fetal heart tracings and maternal vital signs
Assist with deliveries and perform newborn assessments
Educate families on newborn care and postpartum recovery
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes
Document patient care accurately and timely

Qualifications

Current RN license in Louisiana or compact state
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience preferred
Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in fetal monitoring interpretation
Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations
Knowledge of obstetrical emergencies and interventions
