Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, one-on-one nursing care to laboring patients and their families
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using advanced fetal monitoring and respond quickly to high-risk situations
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-Hyst procedures
• Deliver immediate newborn care and support parents during those first precious moments
• Collaborate with a dynamic team of RNs, charge nurses, patient care techs, and surgical techs in a fast-paced 16-bed unit
• Thrive in a Magnet-designated hospital that serves as a Level III NICU referral center

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• High-risk obstetrics experience is required
• Confidence in immediate newborn care
• Current NRP and BLS/ALS certifications
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
• Circulating experience is a nice-to-have

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with Cerner EMR and Fetal InK monitoring
• Skilled in interpreting advanced fetal heart rate patterns
• Knowledge of Baxter pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring
• Comfortable floating to MFMU, MOMB, or NICU when needed
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Adaptable, outgoing, and friendly personality fit for a team-oriented unit
