Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and assess patients in the Intermediate Care unit, ensuring stability and early intervention
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, with attention to detail and safety
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans
Educate patients and families on health conditions, recovery plans, and discharge instructions
Respond to changing patient conditions quickly, providing critical care support as needed
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the highest standards of patient care

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
Experience in an IMC, step-down, or telemetry setting preferred
Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Intermediate care and telemetry monitoring
Assessment and critical thinking
Medication administration and IV therapy
Patient education and family support
Electronic health records (EHR) proficiency
