Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and lab data
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and life-saving interventions as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the care team to create individualized treatment plans
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all nursing interventions and outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa (or compact state) with no restrictions
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• Prior critical care or ICU experience is strongly preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend and holiday
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to stay calm under pressure

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in critical care nursing standards, protocols, and best practices
• Proficient in interpreting cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator management
• Comfortable using electronic health records and ICU medical equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration and patient education
• Adaptability to fast-paced, high-acuity environments
