Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to critically ill patients in the Medical ICU
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including cardiac and hemodynamic status, and respond quickly to changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and life-support treatments with precision
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists to create and adjust care plans
• Educate and support patients and families through some of their most vulnerable moments
• Document care accurately and advocate for your patients every step of the way

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in Illinois or a compact state
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• NIHSS certification (required or obtained upon hire)
• Prior ICU or critical care nursing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of cardiac monitoring, ventilator management, and critical care medications
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Comfortable using electronic health records and medical technology
• Compassion, empathy, and emotional resilience
