Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old in a fast-paced ICU environment
Titrate critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics to support patient stability
Monitor and interpret telemetry using Draeger heart monitoring systems with centralized telemetry
Collaborate with attendings, fellows, and residents to deliver exceptional, team-based patient care
Float to various inpatient units (excluding Maternity/NICU) to support hospital-wide needs and build versatile skills
Respond to Rapid Response Teams and Codes alongside the Charge Nurse to ensure swift, life-saving interventions

Qualifications

Active RN license with 2 years of recent ICU experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license for radius verification at time of submittal
Willingness to complete a pass/fail skills exam during orientation (open book, 90% passing score)
Ability to work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and centralized monitoring
Drip titration for vasopressors, paralytics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
Critical thinking and quick decision-making in high-acuity situations
Strong communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues and learners
