Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical ICU (MICU)
• Monitor vital signs, assess patient status, and respond to changes quickly
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the healthcare team
• Educate and support patients and families through serious illness
• Document patient care accurately and maintain detailed records

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Illinois or hold a compact license
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• At least 1 year of ICU nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and every third weekend
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and required health screenings

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in ICU patient care, including ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Skills in using cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and other critical care equipment
• Strong critical thinking and quick decision-making under pressure
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Compassion and resilience in high-stress situations
