Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical ICU
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythm, and neurological status
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and their families about conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license (Illinois or compact)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Previous ICU or critical care experience preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and 36 hours per week

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
• Proficiency in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in critical care
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
