Location: Centennial, Colorado

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialties including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU
Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin with confidence
Manage ventilators and assist with respiratory needs alongside respiratory therapy colleagues
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips independently while delivering 1:1 or 1:2 patient care based on acuity
Float within the 60-mile zone to support various facilities and patient populations as needed
Collaborate with designated charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience; first-time travelers need 3+ years plus Epic experience
Comfortable with drip titration, ventilator management, and floating to various acuity levels

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical care assessment and decision-making abilities
Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred
Ability to read and interpret telemetry independently
Flexibility to adapt to different facilities and patient populations
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
