Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on overnight shifts
• Perform thorough assessments and promptly communicate changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Document care clearly and timely in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and update individualized care plans
• Support residents and families with clear communication and empathy

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license (must meet state requirements)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; other certifications a plus
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
• Comfort with overnight/overnight-swing shifts and independent decision making
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) for RNs
• Completion of an accredited nursing education program for licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Medication administration and adherence to safety protocols
• Familiarity with care planning in a long-term or skilled nursing environment
• Good communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
• Infection control practices and resident safety focus
• Basic electronic charting / EHR proficiency
