Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional emergency care to patients in the ER, triaging and stabilizing critical conditions
• Deliver compassionate medical-surgical nursing care on the floor, managing post-operative and acute patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and maintain accurate patient records
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Respond quickly to changing patient conditions and escalate as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or compact state
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
• Experience in both Emergency Room and Medical-Surgical nursing
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to varying patient volumes

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical thinking and quick decision-making in emergency situations
• Strong assessment skills for both acute and chronic conditions
• Proficiency in IV therapy, wound care, and patient monitoring
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of EMR systems and documentation standards
