Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide acute emergency care to a high‑volume ER patient population
• Triage, assess, and prioritize incoming patients in fast‑paced environments
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and point‑of‑care labs according to protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Document all interventions and assessments accurately in EPIC
• Float between designated hospitals within a 60‑mile radius to meet staffing needs
• Maintain safe patient ratios of 1:4‑5 based on acuity

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Colorado
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
• Willingness and ability to float within a 60‑mile zone
• Availability for 12‑hour night shifts (3 PM‑3 AM)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing assessment and triage
• Trauma, cardiac, and stroke care protocols
• Use of EPIC electronic medical record system
• IV insertion and medication administration
• Point‑of‑care laboratory testing
• Interpretation of telemetry and monitor data
• Rapid decision‑making in high‑stress situations
