Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality endoscopy nursing care for ambulatory and hospitalized patients across all ages
• Perform moderate sedation monitoring and safe IV starts during endoscopic procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Social Work) to coordinate patient care
• Assist with advanced therapeutic endoscopy procedures and specialized unit workflows
• Provide thorough patient education, pre- and post-procedure assessments, and discharge planning
• Document accurately in the charting system (Epic preferred) to ensure continuity of care
• Float as needed to support unit staffing and maintain patient safety standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) — Endoscopy RN experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Endo/GI Lab experience (1 year GI/Lab experience required)
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
• Comfort with moderate sedation and tech endoscopy procedures
• IV start competency
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Willingness to float and work every other weekend

Knowledge & Skills

• Endoscopy and Endo/GI lab workflows
• Moderate sedation monitoring and safety protocols
• Therapeutic endoscopy support and procedure assistance
• Pediatric to geriatric patient care across ambulatory and inpatient settings
• Epic electronic charting
• Basic and advanced cardiac life support (BLS, ACLS)
• IV insertion and vascular access skills
• Ability to work in a level II trauma, tertiary medical center environment
