Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem shifts as needed - flexible scheduling

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in a fast-paced ED environment
Administer medications, start IVs, and perform life-saving interventions
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
BLS certification required
ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
Minimum 1 year of ED or critical care experience preferred
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Expert clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
Proficiency in emergency procedures and equipment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Compassionate patient-centered care approach
Adaptability to changing patient conditions
