Roles & Responsibilities

Triage and assess patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
Deliver focused, evidence-based nursing interventions to stabilize patients
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to develop care plans
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses thoroughly and professionally
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
Respond to urgent and emergent situations with calm, decisive action
Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a patient-centered culture

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii, or eligibility to obtain licensure
Emergency nursing experience preferred (ED/ER background)
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) highly desired
Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills; patient-focused attitude

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment proficiency
Trauma and acute care familiarity
Medication administration and IV/IV push competency
Proficient documentation practices and charting accuracy
Ability to prioritize under pressure and multitask effectively
Comfort working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
