Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Flexible 12.5-hour shifts, various days and times as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate and skilled emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in a fast-paced ED environment
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety protocols
Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care

Qualifications

Current RN license in North Carolina (or compact state)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent ED experience strongly preferred
PALS certification preferred
Strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in emergency nursing procedures and protocols
Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems
Knowledge of infection control and safety standards
