Shift Type: Day shift, with on-call rotation: 1 weekend per month (24 hours) and 1-2 nights per week (8-hour call)

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate for cardiac open heart, general, and vascular surgeries
• Prepare the operating room and ensure surgical asepsis
• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond swiftly
• Document accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses for optimal outcomes
• Participate in on-call shifts to support emergency surgeries

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Jersey (or compact license)
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience
• Experience with cardiac cases including CABG, heart valves, MVR, and AVR
• Proficiency in circulating for open heart surgeries
• Current BLS certification
• EPIC experience required

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in general OR and vascular surgery
• In-depth knowledge of cardiac surgery procedures
• Strong understanding of surgical instruments and sterile techniques
• Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• On-call readiness and flexibility
