Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (variable days), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM Night shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $40 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to patients during overnight shifts
Assess patient needs, monitor clinical status, and respond promptly to changes
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care thoroughly
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans
Provide patient and family education with patience and clarity
Maintain accurate electronic charting and ensure continuity of care at handoff
Act quickly and confidently in emergencies to stabilize patients and escalate as needed

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or eligible Compact RN license
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS/PALS a plus
Prior acute care or hospital nursing experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort with overnight care responsibilities
Ability to pass facility onboarding, background checks, and health screenings

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and patient monitoring
Medication administration and IV therapy fundamentals
Accurate, timely electronic medical record documentation
Effective communication and teamwork in high-paced settings
Basic emergency response and critical thinking under pressure
Infection control and patient safety best practices
