Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in the assigned unit
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to policy
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes quickly, and document clearly
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to coordinate excellent care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge processes to keep the unit running smoothly
• Uphold infection control, safety protocols, and quality standards every shift

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — New Mexico license or compact state privileges preferred
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) candidates may be considered where applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) welcomed where relevant
• Current clinical skills in acute care settings; prior med-surg or similar experience preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clear documentation
• Time management and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborative approach to working with interdisciplinary teams
