Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $28 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, safe nursing care for assigned patients during the night shift
Perform thorough assessments, document changes, and escalate concerns to the care team
Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to coordinate patient-focused care plans
Support patient and family education with clear, respectful communication
Respond to emergencies calmly and according to facility protocols
Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring peers and sharing best practices

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of New Mexico
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Clinical experience in acute care or similar settings preferred
Ability to work independently on night shifts and communicate effectively with the team
Positive attitude, strong critical thinking, and patient-centered focus

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid assessment and clinical decision-making skills
Medication administration and documentation proficiency
Familiarity with electronic health record systems
Good interpersonal skills for patient/family communication and team collaboration
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical environment
