Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 06:00 PM - 06:30 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $38 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night shifts
Perform thorough assessments and implement individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the chart
Respond to urgent situations calmly and according to protocols
Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New Mexico
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
Previous acute care or med-surg experience is preferred but motivated new grads welcome to apply
Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
Comfortable working independently on night shifts and communicating effectively with the care team
Flexible availability for per-diem assignments, including nights and occasional weekends

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Medication administration and IV therapy competence
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
Patient and family education skills with empathy and clarity
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
Teamwork and effective verbal/written communication
