Radiology Specialist Assistant

Location: Watertown, New York

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $116.25 - $81.38 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, age-appropriate patient care across the lifespan
Perform advanced interventional procedures including fluoroscopic studies, joint injections, and image-guided biopsies
Collaborate closely with radiologists and the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient management
Educate patients and families on procedures while obtaining informed consent
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Respond confidently to emergency situations and support clinical staff

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved program recognized by the New York State Education Department
Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
Current ARRT certification in Radiography
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Registered Radiologist Assistant (RRA) or Physician Assistant with radiology focus preferred

Education

Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
Graduate of an approved course of study acceptable to the New York State Education Department

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided procedures
Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making abilities
Proficiency in CT-guided interventions and biopsy techniques
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to infection control and radiation safety protocols
