Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality portable and departmental X-ray studies with attention to image quality
• Position patients accurately and safely to obtain diagnostic images
• Operate radiography equipment (GE, Siemens, Shimadzu) and troubleshoot basics
• Manage image acquisition and PACS workflow using McKesson PACS and EPIC charting
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure proper documentation and badge compliance
• Collaborate with ED staff and in-house radiologists to prioritize and expedite urgent studies
• Maintain equipment cleanliness, restock supplies, and support unit workflow
• Contribute positively to a team-oriented shift environment and assist colleagues as needed

Qualifications

• WA state DOH imaging license in hand (required)
• ARRT registration (required)
• Current BLS certification
• Radiation badge required (facility will not provide; employer/traveler responsibility)
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• One year of radiography experience preferred; larger, fast-paced hospital experience a plus
• Comfortable performing portable imaging and working in the ED environment
• Cannot have been full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit (CHI/Dignity) facility in the past year

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in general radiography and portable X-ray techniques
• Familiarity with PACS workflows, specifically McKesson PACS
• Experience with EPIC charting and electronic documentation
• Working knowledge of GE, Siemens, and Shimadzu radiology equipment
• Understanding of radiation safety practices and proper badge usage
• Ability to produce consistent, diagnostic-quality images under variable workloads
• Comfort prioritizing studies in an ED/acute care setting
