Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate mental health care to inmates at Kern Valley State Prison
Conduct thorough psychological assessments and therapy sessions
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that make a real difference
Collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team to support patient recovery
Provide crisis intervention and ongoing counseling with empathy and expertise

Qualifications

Active license as a Psychologist or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Experience in correctional or medical mental health settings preferred
Strong commitment to patient-centered care in high-need environments

Education

Doctoral degree in Psychology for Psychologists, or Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy for LMFTs

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in psychological evaluation and family therapy techniques
Crisis intervention and behavioral health management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building trust
Cultural competence in diverse populations
