Roles & Responsibilities

Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care
Develop and implement individualized plans of care following regulatory standards
Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions
Administer manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and wound care procedures
Assess patient progress and adjust treatments, documenting all in the clinical record
Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care and optimal outcomes
Supervise physical therapist assistants, aides, and students as needed
Participate in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and required trainings

Qualifications

At least 1 year of physical therapy experience (new grads with Level II clinicals welcome)
Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation setting
Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist license
Ability to obtain necessary DME and supplies per regulatory requirements
Adherence to APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics

Knowledge & Skills

Patient screening and evaluation
Rehabilitation and wound care expertise
Manual therapy and therapeutic exercises
Documentation and electronic health records
Evidence-based practice and standardized assessments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
