Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and functional mobility training
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting interventions as needed
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and encouraging environment for recovery

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Maryland or ability to obtain
• Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Previous experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of therapeutic exercise techniques and modalities
• Patient assessment, documentation, and care planning skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation systems
