Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled physical therapy interventions to residents under the supervision of a licensed PT
• Implement individualized treatment plans focused on restoring mobility, strength, and independence
• Document patient progress and adjust treatments to meet changing needs
• Educate patients and their families about exercises, safety, and functional mobility
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care
• Help create a positive, supportive environment where residents feel encouraged

Qualifications

• Active or eligible Physical Therapist Assistant license in Ohio (new graduates are welcome!)
• Completion of an accredited PTA program
• Prior skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach
• Ability to pass a background check and comply with facility requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of therapeutic exercise, gait training, and functional mobility techniques
• Comfortable documenting treatments in an electronic medical record
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working with older adults
• Ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Time management skills to support a productive daily schedule
