Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during a variety of dental procedures with care and precision
• Create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for young patients
• Take and develop digital dental x-rays with attention to safety and comfort
• Sterilize and prepare instruments, treatment rooms, and equipment
• Educate children and parents on healthy oral hygiene habits
• Maintain accurate patient records and support smooth clinic flow

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent training
• Active Dental Assistant certification or registration in Wisconsin (or ability to obtain)
• Current CPR or BLS certification
• Experience working with children in a dental setting is a big plus
• X-ray certification or willingness to obtain it before starting

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, terminology, and chairside procedures
• Comfort using dental practice management software
• Strong communication and people skills for kids and parents
• A patient, empathetic, and friendly approach
• Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-focused practice
