Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist chairside during exams, bracket placements, and adjustments
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, keeping treatment rooms ready for every patient
• Take and process dental radiographs, impressions, and orthodontic records
• Educate patients and families on braces care, aligners, and oral hygiene
• Maintain detailed patient charts and document treatments accurately
• Keep the practice running smoothly with organized supplies and a welcoming patient flow

Qualifications

• Orthodontic certification required
• Dental assistant certification or completion of an accredited dental assisting program
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Radiology/X-ray certification as required for dental assistants
• Experience in orthodontics is a big plus
• Strong commitment to patient safety, comfort, and high-quality care

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of orthodontic instruments, wires, brackets, and procedures
• Understanding of sterilization, infection control, and OSHA standards
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and parents
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, collaborative dental setting
• Comfort with dental practice management software
