Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with exams, impressions, bracket placements, and adjustments
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments are sterilized and ready
• Take and process dental X-rays and intraoral scans as directed
• Support patient care by explaining procedures and making patients feel comfortable
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment charts
• Keep the office workflow smooth by anticipating the orthodontist's needs

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant certification and current Orthodontic Certification are required
• Experience as an orthodontic dental assistant is a plus
• Comfort using dental practice software, including Denticon, is helpful
• A friendly, patient-first attitude and strong communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Skilled in taking dental impressions, X-rays, and scans
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization best practices
• Excellent interpersonal skills to help patients feel relaxed
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
