Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, individualized nursing care that helps residents feel safe, heard, and respected
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and monitor residents for changes in condition
• Work with physicians, therapists, and nursing assistants to create and update care plans
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly and thoroughly
• Advocate for each resident's health, dignity, and quality of life
• Support and guide certified nursing assistants as part of the daily care team

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license in Maryland or a valid compact state license in good standing
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain before starting
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a similar setting is a plus
• Must meet the facility's vaccination requirements or have an approved exemption
• Must bring a government-issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment, observation, and critical thinking skills
• Clear, warm communication with residents, families, and teammates
• Ability to stay calm, adaptable, and organized in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort with electronic health records and nursing documentation
• Genuine empathy, patience, and respect for older adults
