Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough patient assessments and periodontal screenings to identify oral health issues early.
  • Deliver gentle, thorough cleanings including scaling and root planing to keep smiles healthy.
  • Capture and evaluate dental X-rays, pointing out findings to support diagnosis.
  • Apply preventive treatments like fluoride and sealants to help patients avoid decay.
  • Empower patients with personalized oral hygiene education and practical home-care tips.
  • Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring instruments and treatment areas are sterile and ready.

Qualifications

  • Must hold an active Dental Hygienist license in Pennsylvania (PA).
  • Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
  • A diploma or degree from an accredited dental hygiene program.
  • Strong clinical skills with X-ray certification accepted in the state.
  • A compassionate approach and ability to connect with a diverse range of patients.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Solid knowledge of dental anatomy, periodontal disease processes, and oral pathology.
  • Experience using dental practice management software and digital radiography.
  • Exceptional communication skills to explain procedures and educate patients.
  • Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards to maintain a safe clinical environment.
  • Ability to collaborate smoothly with dentists and other team members.
